Branding Focus

What I did

Complete brand creation from concept to execution — designed the full brand identity system, packaging range, visual language, tone of voice strategy, photography art direction, campaign concepts, and all 360° touchpoints spanning product, retail, digital, and experiential.

Tools used

Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro, Wix (including Wix Editor, eCommerce, and Marketing tools)

  • Launch a cohesive brand identity across every touchpoint from product to packaging to digital presence.

  • Building a brand from the ground up with limited resources, while aiming to stand out in a saturated market.

    • Led creative direction across all brand assets: developed visual identity, packaging, layout design, and applied brand system across digital, print, and social.

    • Collaborated with in-house researcher on tone of voice and product messaging.

    • Styled all sets and worked alongside our photographer to define a clean, elegant visual direction.

    • Continuously refined print and digital collateral based on audience feedback and UX insights to improve clarity and usability.

  • The result is a polished, visually intuitive, and cohesive brand presence. Packaging stood out both on shelves and online. Customers often noted the clarity of instructions and praised the cohesive, design-led experience across all touchpoints.

Experiential Strategy

What I did

Delivered events, pop-ups, and workshops to build engagement and gather insights

Mailchimp, Typeform, Eventbrite, Adobe CC, Mailer, Google Docs

  • Create memorable in-person brand experiences to build trust, drive sales, and gather user insights. Identify the best ways to connect with customers through direct engagement, highlighting the simplicity of the baking process, a key differentiator for the brand. This approach will foster advocacy, expand our audience, and increase our distribution list.

  • Operating within a tight budget required creative, hands-on problem solving to design adaptable, transportable and visually aligned setups.

    • Led all pop-ups solo: planning, logistics, client comms, setup, and on-site brand activation.

    • Co-designed workshop journey and content flow; delivered and executed every session independently.

    • Created user-friendly collaterals (presentation decks, ingredient labels, name tags) to enhance clarity and flow.

    • A/B tested visual layouts and messaging across events to optimise visibility and engagement.

    • Observed user behaviour to iterate workshop formats (e.g. oven-free, decorating-only sessions).

    • Developed new products like starter kits and gifting tins in response to real-time feedback.

    • Managed B2B and B2C stakeholder needs, onboarding, logistics, and customer service.

    • Handled all legal, hygiene, and insurance paperwork.

    • Events became a key acquisition and retention channel.

    • Direct feedback shaped product design and marketing strategy.

    • Corporate clients and returning customers grew organically through experiential channels.

    Working with the Powder Patisserie was effortless and a great experience. It was clear that they listened to what we wanted to achieve in a specific amount of time and organised a baking event tailored to our organisation. On the day, their team created a fantastic event that was enjoyed by many. The wonderful baking aromas attracted the attention of passers-by with many wanting to find out how they could attend the next event.     EventCake and Bake Show

    Beautiful and Tasty I came across their stall at the Ideal Home Christmas show and tried their samples. It absolutely floored me, and it showed on my face instantly, so much so that the lovely lady burst out laughing at my expression of bliss. I bought the baking kit at a very reasonable price. The mixes were very easy to use. The final cake tastes incredible. I wouldn't describe it as sickly sweet, but at the same time, it satisfies the sweet tooth as well. When making them in the provided moulds, it is a very real possibility to inhale the whole thing in one sitting. A lovely teatime treat.

Social & Content Strategy

  • Grow an engaged community organically and highlight brand values: simplicity, quality ingredients, and design-led baking, while showing the versatility of the products for modern, busy lifestyles.

  • Managing all content in-house on a tight budget required a strategic and highly practical approach. I handled photography, copywriting, and video production myself, ensuring brand consistency and maximising impact despite limited resources.

    • Independently planned, styled, photographed, and edited all social media content, ensuring cohesive brand storytelling and visual consistency across posts, reels, and tutorials.

    • Developed a forward-looking content calendar aligned with key seasonal events (e.g., Mother’s Day, Halloween, Christmas), enabling timely, relevant, and emotionally resonant campaigns.

    • Conducted audience and trend analysis to inform content themes, increasing engagement by aligning with high-interest search behavior.

    • Owned end-to-end execution of visual and written content, while also briefing and managing freelance writers for blog and SEO deliverables in line with a collaboratively defined tone of voice.

    • Delivered measurable improvements in audience engagement and brand affinity through a strategic, insight-driven approach to content creation.

    • Crafted content strategy to increase visibility and connect with our audience by highlighting brand values of quality, simplicity, and thoughtful design.

    • Created visuals and messaging that reflected the ease and elegance customers were looking for, which led to increased engagement, more repeat buyers, and higher newsletter sign-ups.

    • Consistent brand storytelling resulted in a feature in both the digital and print editions of Vogue magazine — positioning the brand as a standout in the food and lifestyle space.

Behind the scenes & personality building

Shared “Bake With Me” and “Pouch With Me” videos to invite our community into the heart of our kitchen. By revealing the real people and process behind each mix, we fostered warmth and trust, deepening emotional connection and encouraging meaningful engagement.

Product tutorial videos

Planned and produced seasonal, emotionally resonant video content designed to inspire, support and convert. Each reel offered easy-to-follow steps, visual inspiration and time-saving tips, encouraging our audience to feel confident baking and driving purchases on our website.
